My passion for nature.
My journey into floristry began at 23, with Aluna Florals taking root a year later. From a young age, I was always drawn to nature, immersing myself in flora and fauna, even painting flowers for enjoyment. My bookshelves were filled with plant IDs, gardening guides, botanical illustrations, and books on the language of flowers. This deep fascination with the natural world was always a driving force.
From wilderness to blooms
Before discovering floristry, I pursued an Outdoor Leadership certificate, hiking, climbing, and canyoning through incredible native bush, always captivated by every species I encountered. Yet, a part of me felt disconnected from my creative side, ignoring my true calling for the arts. Floristry offered the perfect pathway to blend my love for nature with hands-on creativity. Meeting a florist roommate was the sign I needed – this was my path.

What truly sets Aluna Florals apart in Sydney is a passion that extends beyond mere aesthetics. My love for flowers runs deep; it's a profound connection to nature itself. I want to share this profound appreciation, inspiring others to discover the wonder and beauty of the botanical world with the same intensity I feel.
Becoming an entrepreneur.
I hope to one day have my own shop or studio. I currently work from home and started out doing market stalls. It has been so fun making this all a reality and I’m so grateful for the help along the way.
